I am honoured and delighted to be included in Chang Feng's latest exhibition exploring ideas of space in art. My digital installation 'Arrivals/Departures' and AR pop ups will be featured.  A description of the theme follows:

"This exhibition is planned based on a chapter in his 2022 book "Space Art" written by the curator over a number of years. It is a sorting out and experimentation of art space. It is also an exploration of the multi-dimensional space of artistic vision. Usually we live in a three-dimensional space. The world that most people know is a two-dimensional plane space. They even only explore a virtual three-dimensional space on a two-dimensional plane. However, in human perception or memory, it has a certain dimension of generality. Or perceptual image, this dimension is also the artist’s experience of understanding the breadth, depth, density and speed of things.

This exhibition imagines how to use art to explore the concepts of time, space, sound, movement and light in a multi-dimensional space. The invited artists are all about how to expand the possibilities of various "boundaries" based on the plane. Breaking through the past that only represented virtual time through illusory space and position changes, we explore a new spatial art using various materials. Whether it is the division of painting materials, impasto or fluid accumulation; the cutting and distribution of parts and edges of "heterosexual" picture frames; the cutting, collage and combination of materials, etc., as well as the extensive use of industrial materials, focusing on The medium of light and optical phenomena present a new form of dazzling colors.

Multi-dimensional space not only emphasizes visual presentation, but also an exploration of psychological and emotional space. It is the experience of perception and feeling in daily life. The artists participating in the exhibition have all abandoned the two-dimensional plane and turned to the three-dimensional or multi-dimensional space. The traces of time produced between the multi-dimensional spaces will present various alternative thoughts of time and space in the hearts of the audience.

To create new art, you must explore new spaces. Therefore, breaking through the boundaries of traditional static art forms lies more in the structural continuation of visual space. It gives art a new and strong sense of movement, rhythm and interactive visual effects."
